I am a mother of two adult children, and with our nest now empty, I’ve happily taken on the role of “lab mom.” The lab has become my second home, and I bring to it the care, experience, and perspective gained from a unique two-part career.

I began my professional journey in China, where I worked as a nurse for 12 years in clinical practice. After moving to the United States, I transitioned into scientific research and have spent the past two decades working in multiple laboratories. My work focuses on managing mouse lines and performing molecular biology techniques, including qPCR, Western blotting, and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing.

Outside the lab, I am a ballet dancer who performs in community productions, and an enthusiastic gardener who enjoys cultivating beauty and life at home.
